Connection Setup Process
Step 1: Access Meta Integration Settings
- Log in to your AI Chat Assist dashboard
- Navigate to AI Campaigns Manager > Meta Integration
- Click “Connect Facebook”
Step 2: Authorize Meta Business Assets
You’ll be redirected to Meta to authorize access to your business assets:
- Log in to your Meta account (if not already logged in)
- Select the Business Manager account you want to connect
- Choose which assets to connect:
- Ad Account(s)
- Facebook Page(s)
- Instagram Account(s)
- Pixel(s)
- Review and grant the requested permissions
You must have Admin or appropriate access level to the Meta Business assets you’re trying to connect.
Step 3: Configure Connection Settings
Once connected, configure your integration settings:
- Default Ad Account: Select which ad account to use by default
- Default Facebook Page: Choose your primary Facebook page
- Pixel Configuration: Set up event tracking between your chatbot and Meta Pixel
- Conversion API: Enable server-side event tracking for more accurate data
Step 4: Verify Connection
To ensure your connection is working properly:
- Go to the Connection Status tab
- Check that all services show “Connected” status
- Run the automated connection test
- Review any warnings or recommendations

Control what data is shared between AI Chat Assist and Meta:
Creating Custom Audiences
Leverage chatbot data to create powerful custom audiences:
- Go to Audiences > Create New
- Select “Chatbot Data Source”
- Choose from audience templates:
- Users who discussed specific topics
- Users with high purchase intent
- Users who abandoned conversations
- Custom segment based on tags or attributes
- Set audience refresh frequency
- Name and save your audience
These audiences will automatically sync with your Meta Ad Account for use in campaigns.
Privacy & Compliance
Ensure your data sharing practices comply with privacy regulations and that you have proper consent from users before sharing their data with Meta platforms.
- Update your privacy policy to reflect data sharing with Meta
- Implement proper consent mechanisms in your chatbot
- Provide opt-out options for users
- Regularly audit data sharing settings
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Meta connection:
- Check that your Meta Business account is in good standing
- Verify you have the necessary permissions
- Ensure your Meta app review status is approved (if applicable)
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration
- Contact support if issues persist
