Purpose

The Import Leads page allows you to bring existing contacts into AI Chat Assist, making it easy to centralize your lead management.

How Import Works

  1. Prepare Your CSV File

    • Download our template or format your CSV with required fields
    • Include columns for name, email, phone, and any custom fields
    • Ensure data is clean and properly formatted
  2. Upload Your File

    • Click “Import Leads” in the dashboard
    • Select your CSV file
    • Map columns to AI Chat Assist fields
  3. Review & Confirm

    • Preview the first few rows
    • Check for any import errors
    • Confirm the import
  4. Post-Import

    • View import summary
    • Check for any duplicates
    • Add tags to imported leads

Best Practices

  • Clean your data before upload
  • Use consistent formatting for phone numbers and emails
  • Take advantage of tags for better organization
  • Start with a small test import
  • Keep a backup of your original file

File Requirements

  • File format: CSV
  • Maximum file size: 10MB
  • Maximum rows per import: 10,000
  • Required fields: Email or Phone

Common Issues

  • Duplicate entries: System will flag potential duplicates
  • Format errors: Check date and number formats
  • Missing required fields: Ensure all required columns are included
  • Character encoding: Use UTF-8 encoding for special characters
